Restoration of Furniture

The restorer's   principle

" to do  as much as necessary - and as little as possible "

Over the past twenty three years Richard has built up a reputation for the sympathetic restoration of all types of wooden furniture. An important part of this is the use of traditional methods, glues and polishes. Where possible old wood is used to replace lost or damaged parts.

The likely cost of repairing a particular piece can only be judged by examination so an appointment to meet to view the item should be made. The restorer's principle of doing "as much as necessary and as little as possible" is always carefully adhered to, however old furniture is often in need of extra work now to prevent work being needed in the future.
